That rhythm is what allowed the family’s tattooing tradition to survive across centuries, from its roots among the Copts of Egypt to its home in the Old City of Jerusalem, and now into a new chapter reaching beyond the walls of the Holy Land.

But the future of Razzouk Tattoo is not only about growth, it is about carrying something sacred forward without losing the values that gave it meaning in the first place.

As Razzouk Tattoo continues to grow, the heart of the tradition remains unchanged; that being the pilgrim and the purpose of pilgrimage.

Since the earliest days of the family’s work in Jerusalem, pilgrims have come seeking more than a tattoo. They come carrying faith, prayer, memory, gratitude, sacrifice, and longing. Today, the 28th generation stands at an important point in that story.

Anton and Nizar Razzouk are not replacing what came before them. They are receiving it, learning it, preserving it, and helping lead it into the future. Their responsibility is not only to carry the tradition from the 27th generation, but also to prepare it for the 29th generation and beyond.

At the same time, Wassim Razzouk remains fully present in the work. He is not stepping away from the tradition he helped rebuild and modernize. Instead, he continues working alongside his sons, guiding the growth of the family business while ensuring that its foundation remains strong.

This is how the tradition has always survived: not through sudden change, but through careful transition.

Jerusalem will always remain the heart of Razzouk Tattoo.

It is the home of the family’s story in the Holy Land, the place where generations of pilgrims have entered the shop and left with a mark of faith. Nothing can replace the meaning of that setting.

The opening of the Athens branch showed that the tradition could grow while remaining connected to its roots. Athens now stands as Razzouk Tattoo’s main base in Europe for the foreseeable future: a place where pilgrims, travelers, and believers who may not be able to reach Jerusalem can still encounter the tradition in an authentic way.

The purpose is not to commercialize the story or force expansion. Growth must happen naturally, where the tradition can reach more people without losing its integrity.

The future may one day include a deeper presence in the United States, where so many people have already connected with the Razzouk story through tours, ambassadors, and pilgrimages. But any future expansion must follow the same principle:

The tradition should never be made larger at the cost of becoming less true.

A central part of this future is the Razzouk Ambassador program.

Through selected and authorized tattoo artists around the world, the family tradition can reach people who may never have the chance to travel to Jerusalem or Athens. These ambassadors are not simply artists using historic designs. They are trusted representatives of the Razzouk tradition.

For that reason, becoming an ambassador is not only about technical skill. It requires understanding the history, respecting the faith behind the tradition, and sharing in the mission of making the story accessible without separating it from its meaning.

The ambassadors must carry the same values: reverence for the designs, respect for the pilgrims, and a sincere understanding of the Christian roots that shaped the tradition.

As the program grows, Razzouk-authorized ambassadors will continue to be the only trusted artists outside the family branches to carry this work forward in an official way.

Merchandise, jewelry, stamp reproductions, and other pieces inspired by the family tradition will gradually continue to grow, not as empty commercial products, but as meaningful ways for people to wear their faith and carry a connection to the story.
