Nizar Razzouk
Razzouk Tattoo - Since 1300Share
For Nizar Razzouk, tattooing was never something distant from everyday life.
From a very young age, he accompanied his father, Wassim Razzouk, inside the walls of Razzouk Tattoo, observing the rhythm of the shop, the interaction with pilgrims, and the precision required to continue a centuries-old tradition.
In 2015, at only 12 years old, Nizar began learning the craft firsthand.
While most children his age were still discovering their hobbies, he was already spending countless hours studying technique, practicing line work, and learning directly under his father’s guidance. Wassim encouraged him from the beginning, recognizing both his artistic instinct and his natural dedication to the craft.
Over the years, Nizar developed a strong reputation for precision, speed, and consistency—particularly in line work tattooing, the style most deeply associated with the Razzouk tradition.
But beyond technical skill, what defines Nizar most is his work ethic.
Inside the shop, especially during periods of heavy traffic where long lines of pilgrims and travelers fill the space, he became known for his ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure while maintaining the quality and discipline the family name demands.
His dedication to the tradition is deeply tied to his dedication to his family.
Whether assisting his father during demanding days in Jerusalem or helping carry the workload during international tours and events, Nizar approaches the craft with the understanding that every tattoo represents not only the client receiving it, but also generations of history behind it.
Today, alongside his older brother Anton Razzouk, Nizar represents the future of the Razzouk family tradition.
A new generation carrying forward one of the oldest continuous tattoo legacies in the world—while remaining rooted in the same principles that shaped it centuries ago.
