Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

After receiving your tattoo, it’s important to treat it like a fresh wound to ensure proper healing. Here’s what we recommend:

  • Keep the secondary skin (Tegaderm/Saniderm) on for at least 6 hours. After that, check the tattoo. If the image appears blurry or cloudy, remove the film. If it still looks clear, you can leave it on until the next morning. (It’s safe to shower with the film on, as it’s waterproof.)

  • When removing the film, gently wash the tattoo with soap and water. Pat it dry using a clean paper towel or a soft towel—avoid rubbing.

  • Apply aftercare cream (either the one we provide or any reputable tattoo aftercare product) 3–4 times a day for at least two weeks.

  • Do not share the cream with others to avoid cross-contamination.

  • Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo for the first 5 days.

  • Do not swim in pools, the sea, or any other body of water during the healing period. Showering is fine from day one.

If swimming is unavoidable, apply a thick layer of Vaseline over the tattoo beforehand (as it acts as a waterproof barrier). After swimming, wash the tattoo thoroughly and resume regular aftercare.

Take care of your new tattoo—it’s a lifelong piece of art!
